The gangster, who’s in jail, has a long-standing feud with the actor and has issued him a number of threats prior to now. The feud originated from the 1998 Blackbuck capturing case by which Salman Khan was convicted. The Bishnoi neighborhood considers Blackbucks sacred and Lawrence Bishnoi has stated he would go after the actor. After a number of threats over time, the April 14 firing was a major escalation by the Bishnoi gang towards the actor.
A much bigger escalation adopted in October when former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot lifeless in Mumbai. The 66-year-old politician was identified to be near Salman Khan.
A key accused within the Baba Siddique homicide case is Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol, who has been detained within the US. In its chargesheet, Mumbai Police have stated the politician’s shut ties with Salman Khan have been a key motive behind his homicide.
