Seven individuals have been reported lifeless, and a number of have been hospitalised after a Georgia ferry dock gangway collapsed in the course of the celebration of an annual occasion.
At least “seven fatalities,” together with a chaplain for the state company Natural Resources, have been confirmed on Saturday, October 19 (US time), after part of a ferry dock collapsed on Georgia’s Sapelo Island. The Associated Press reported that a number of people have been transported to hospitals. Natural Resources spokesperson Tyler Jones additional revealed that crews from the US Coast Guard, McIntosh County Fire Department, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and different officers have been looking out the water for victims.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp launched a press release within the wake of the tragedy: “Marty, the ladies, and I are heartbroken by right now’s tragedy on Sapelo Island.
