A 20-year-old man has been arrested from Noida over dying threats to actor Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui, MLA and son of NCP (Ajit Pawar) chief Baba Siddique, who was shot lifeless on October 12. Mumbai Police have taken Gufran Khan into custody and are making preparations to take him on transit remand.
According to police sources, Zeeshan Siddique’s workplace in Bandra obtained messages on Friday night, threatening Salman Khan and the MLA of dying except they paid a ransom. A workers of Zeeshan Siddiqui’s workplace had registered a police criticism and an FIR was filed. Police then recognized Mohammed Tayyab as the person behind the threats and arrested him.
Earlier, Mumbai Police had arrested Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, a 24-year-old vegetable vendor from Jamshedpur, over a risk message obtained by Mumbai visitors police’s WhatsApp helpline. The risk message demanded Rs 5 crore as ransom.
Salman Khan earlier obtained dying threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Suspected members of the gang had opened fireplace outdoors the actor’s Bandra residence in April. The actor’s safety has been beefed up following the string of threats.
Earlier this month, former MLA and NCP (Ajit Pawar) faction chief Baba Siddique, recognized to be near Salman Khan, was shot lifeless close to his son Zeeshan’s workplace in Mumbai. The risk to Zeeshan got here weeks after his father’s homicide.
