Gunshots rang out at a Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown Atlanta Tuesday afternoon after police responded to a report of an individual with a gun.
Those on the lodge and within the space of the excessive rise on 14th Street Northeast have been advised to shelter in place and avoid home windows.
“Citizens inside website of the Four Seasons Hotel are suggested to keep away from any home windows and rooms going through the world,” Atlanta Police Department stated on social media platform X, issuing a shelter-in-place order for these within the neighborhood.
NBC affiliate WXIA of Atlanta reported {that a} SWAT crew and at the very least one police sniper was a part of the police response as a number of rounds of gunfire have been heard within the space.
Police stated they established a fringe across the excessive rise.
