During the Thanksgiving Day parade, Roker seemed to be sitting in a smaller chair than his co-hosts, as he appeared considerably shorter than them. This prompted viewers to surprise how tall the weathercaster really is. At 5 ft 8 inches, the NBC anchor stands the shortest amongst his co-hosts, with Guthrie being the tallest at 5 ft 10 inches, adopted by Kotb, who’s 5 ft 9 inches.

The broadcast left viewers amused as they flocked to social media to share their hilarious reactions. “Why does Al Roker appear like a Hobbit sitting on the NBC desk with Hoda Kotb lol,” one person wrote on X, previously Twitter. A second person quipped, “Why did NBC give Al Roker a chair from the children desk?” whereas a 3rd remarked, “Can somebody get Al Roker a booster seat??”
