Livelsberger, who was married and had a toddler, had not spoken to his ex-girlfriend Alicia Arritt since their breakup in 2021, the Denver Gazette reported.
At 9 am on December 29, three days earlier than the explosion, he wrote to Arritt: “I rented a Tesla Cybertruck. It’s the s***.”
Seven minutes later, he texted her once more: “I really feel like Batman or halo.”

Tesla founder Elon Musk claimed that the explosion was an act of terrorism.
“The explosion was attributable to very massive fireworks and/or a bomb carried within the mattress of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the car itself”, Musk wrote in a submit on X.
CCTV footage confirmed the car being pushed up and down Las Vegas Boulevard earlier than being parked in entrance of the lodge. It detonated moments later.

“The evil knuckleheads picked the improper car for a terrorist assault. Cybertruck really contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards. Not even the glass doorways of the foyer had been damaged,” Musk wrote.
