Sandro Tonali, marked his return to Newcastle after a long 10 month ban for breaking a gambling rule. It is said that Tonali will join Newcastle and is going to face Nottingham Forest on Thursday in the League cup second round, his manager Eddie confirmed.
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said that after serving his penalty, the midfielder might feel prepared for the next part of his career.
After being out for a long time, you get plenty of time to think, analyse, and reflect,” he added. He’s probably excited — it feels like the next chapter of his career,” Howe said.
“I’m sure he’s done all of that, and now he’s back to doing what he loves, which is playing football. That must be a huge relief for him.”
Howe Added, the footballer has done everything else, has completed all the training over a long period, and has worked incredibly hard with the sports-science team to ensure he’s in even better shape than before his ban.
He that Tonali has kept up with his fitness during his time off and now just needs game time to get back to full match fitness.
The footballer has an impressive record playing with Brescia U17, where he has scored 11 goals in his 41 appearances. We would see the same kind of performance this year as well.
Tonali’s return would undoubtedly strengthen Newcastle’s hopes, as his technical skills add quality will boost the morale of the team. Howe believes the midfielder just needs to focus on his strengths as he makes his comeback.
