Heavy rain in Mumbai this night flooded many roads and led to some flight diversions. Vehicles moved slowly on the flooded roads, resulting in site visitors jams in lots of components of the nation’s monetary capital.
SpiceJet, IndiGo and Vistara in posts on X stated some flights have been diverted.
Vistara stated flight No. UK534 from Hyderabad to Mumbai is returning to Hyderabad attributable to dangerous climate at Mumbai airport, and was anticipated to land in Hyderabad at 9.15 pm. Another flight, UK941, from Delhi to Mumbai has been diverted to Hyderabad and was anticipated to reach at 9.10 pm.

The climate workplace issued an alert for Mumbai and neighbouring districts, predicting “extraordinarily heavy rainfall”. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast extraordinarily heavy rain until Thursday morning.
Several suburbs in Mumbai have been receiving important rain since afternoon right now, with Mulund and its environment experiencing the heaviest rainfall, flooding low-lying areas.
The IMD’s 5.30 pm forecast stated it anticipated “extraordinarily heavy rainfall and thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds at remoted locations” in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts.
IMD scientist Sushma Nair stated a trough runs from north Konkan to south Bangladesh throughout a cyclonic circulation over south Chhattisgarh and its neighbourhood, extending to the center tropospheric stage tilting southwards with top.
“This will result in pretty widespread to widespread mild or average rainfall, and could be very seemingly over Konkan and Goa in the course of the week,” she instructed information company PTI.
