After a disappointing 5-7 marketing campaign in 2023, South Carolina rebounded in a giant method final season, ending 9-4 and touchdown at No. 19 within the remaining AP ballot—this system’s highest rating since Jadeveon Clowney’s remaining season in 2013. The Gamecocks’ resurgence was fueled by a protection that tied for eighth nationally in PFF grade (91.8).
While South Carolina misplaced vital expertise on that aspect of the ball, it returns one of many nation’s premier gamers in sophomore edge defender Dylan Stewart. His continued improvement—together with the expansion of quarterback LaNorris Sellers and wideout Nyck Harbor—shall be key to the Gamecocks’ hopes of breaking into the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff in 2025.
