A shock journey to Dodger Stadium grew to become the very best day of a younger Dodger fan’s life.
When Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off grand slam to avoid wasting the Dodgers who had been trailing 3-2 within the backside of the tenth inning in Game 1 of the World Series Friday evening, he was a hero to all Dodger followers, together with 10-year-old Zachary.
The fifth grader caught the ball that was coming immediately towards the place he and his mother and father had been sitting.
“When he hit the ball, we knew it was leaving the park, however we had no concept we had been going to catch it.” Zachary, whose mother and father declined to present the final identify, stated. “The ball bounced on the seat in entrance of us and rolled on the bottom a bit of bit. Then I obtained it.”
It was already a shock that Zachary was attending the sport because the boy with braces had been initially informed by his mother and father that he was going to the dentist. The 10-year-old, who was carrying his Dodger gear all day for the sport anyway, was already excited to be at Dodger Stadium.
Then catching the historic ball was a complete curveball.
“He was simply crying — the tears streaming down his eyes and an enormous smile on his face,” Nico, Zachary’s dad, described. “He had simply tears of pleasure.”
While any fan that packed Dodger Stadium would have been thrilled to have the grand slam ball, Zachary stated different followers had been glad for him.

“Everyone needed to get an image with me. Everyone needed to see the ball. I used to be simply mobbed,” the younger fan recalled.
Zachary’s dad stated he thinks any fan who really loves baseball would perceive the joy his son felt.
“You share the identical sentiment. It was unimaginable,” Nico stated. “Even the Yankees followers on the market had been blown away by what occurred and really sort of excited by it. It was simply such an incredible environment.”
The household is now making an attempt to get the ball signed by Freddie Freeman himself.
