The incident befell within the early hours of Thursday at Gokhale bridge on Western Express Highway in Andheri East, the official stated.
“Accused Devpriya Nishank (32) was driving his high-end automotive in an inebriated situation. The girl occupant of his automotive had additionally consumed liquor. After noticing a nakabandi forward, he rammed his automotive into the barricades we had put up after which hit three different autos. Police personnel on the spot and passersby gave chase and compelled him to halt his automotive,” the official stated.
“He was not opening the door of the automotive so individuals broke open the glass. He was additionally thrashed by the mob that gathered. Nishank was detained for medical examination. He is a businessman staying in Worli,” the official stated.
