Frenchman On Mass Rape Trial Absent From Court For Being “Unwell”

The fundamental defendant in a mass rape trial that has sparked horror and protests in France was absent on Monday as a result of he’s “unwell” and should bear medical remedy, the presiding decide mentioned.

Dominique Pelicot, 71, has been on trial since September 2 over raping and recruiting strangers to rape his closely sedated spouse Gisele for practically a decade.

Dominique Pelicot had already been excused from the listening to on Friday to bear a medical examination. 

His lawyer Beatrice Zavarro had advised AFP on Sunday that the examination “went properly.”

Pelicot has admitted to the fees in opposition to him.

He is being tried together with 50 different males aged between 26 and 74, a lot of whom have denied the rape cost. Most danger as much as 20 years in jail if convicted of aggravated rape.
