Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will transfer the Railways (Amendment) Bill, 2024 that seeks to additional amend the Railway Act, 1989 to reinforce the powers of the Railways Board and enhance operational effectivity.

Priyanka Gandhi received from Kerala’s Wayanad with over 6.22 lakh votes in her maiden electoral contest. Communist Party of India’s Sathyan Mokeri misplaced with over 2.11 lakh votes whereas the BJP’s Navya Haridas managed to get 1.09 lakh votes.
Priyanka Gandhi has secured a margin of 4.1 lakh votes, breaking Rahul Gandhi’s document of three.65 lakh votes within the 2024 elections. This is regardless of a decline in voter turnout.
