Pushpa 2 Screening Disrupted In Mumbai, Movie-Goers Cough Due To Spray

The screening of Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ was disrupted at Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy Theatre final evening after somebody sprayed an unknown substance. Several movie-goers began coughing and complained of throat irritation after the incident, as a consequence of which the screening was stopped.

A video confirmed the panic-stricken movie-goers protecting their faces as chaos ensued within the cinema corridor in Bandra. “The film has been stopped. Someone sprayed one thing and everyone seems to be coughing,” a person was heard saying within the video.

A police group quickly reached the theatre to research the incident, however no case was registered.

A day earlier, a stampede at a Hyderabad cinema corridor claimed the lifetime of a girl throughout the premier of the much-awaited ‘Pushpa’ sequel.

The stampede at Sandhya Theatre occurred as an enormous crowd jostled to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, who had arrived for the premier with none intimation. While the 35-year-old lady died, her nine-year-old son was hospitalized as a consequence of asphyxiation.

Mr Arjun, who has been charged within the stampede case, and the theater administration are but to touch upon the matter.

Police stated that the actor, his safety group and the administration of Sandhya Theatre have been booked below sections 105 (culpable murder not amounting to homicide) and 118(1) (voluntarily inflicting damage or grievous damage by harmful weapons or means) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Allu Arjun performs the titular function of ‘Pushpa’ within the film that follows the journey from being a labourer to a smuggling kingpin. The film, directed by Sukumar, additionally options Rashmika Mandanna reverse to Mr Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, who performs the antagonist.
