Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega Unleash a Powerful Drama in ‘Taste’ Music Video: Key Moments

Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega have created an intense music video for Sabrina’s song “Taste.” Released on August 23, the video features a dramatic scene where Sabrina, 25, and Jenna, 21, go from being rivals to friends.

The video starts with Sabrina applying lipstick and grabbing a knife before storming into a mansion. She’s seeking revenge on her ex-boyfriend for reuniting with his former girlfriend, played by Jenna.

In the chorus, Sabrina sings about making her ex taste her anger if he’s back with his old flame, expressing that if he wants forever, he’ll have to deal with her too.

In a dramatic “Kill Bill” style, Sabrina Carpenter uses a large dagger, but Jenna Ortega overpowers her with a silver gun and throws her out of a window. Sabrina lands on a fence and gets a bloody injury but still manages to throw a knife into Jenna’s eye.

Despite their severe injuries, they keep trying to kill each other throughout the video. Whenever Jenna thinks she has defeated Sabrina, Sabrina somehow comes back, and they start fighting again. At one point, they even use Voodoo dolls to hurt each other, with Jenna’s back breaking and Sabrina being set on fire, while Jenna laughs ominously.

One of the biggest moments in the video that fans are talking about is the kiss between Sabrina and Jenna. In the scene, Jenna’s boyfriend is replaced by Sabrina during a kiss, matching the lyrics, “You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissin’ you.” Even though Jenna thinks she’s killed Sabrina again, Sabrina reappears, revealing that Jenna accidentally killed her own boyfriend.

At the end of the video, Sabrina and Jenna go to the boyfriend’s funeral. Instead of crying like the other guests, they smile at each other and leave together.

After the video was released, Sabrina shared a TikTok showing behind-the-scenes moments from the “Taste” shoot. In the clip, Sabrina is covered in fake blood, and Jenna is holding a pink chainsaw, both smiling for the camera. Sabrina also added the Talking Heads’ song “Psycho Killer” to the video.
