Storm Ravages SE Michigan: 288,000 Homes Without Power

Michigan: A severe storm hit South-Ease Michigan area on Tuesday which has damaged several areas and uprooted many trees in and around the Michigan area causing power cut in the areas.

It is estimated that nearly 200k houses were impacted due to power cuts, according to residents, they have never seen power failure like this in nearly 30 years of their staying.

Many families, however, have personal generator but in spite of this, it is not sufficient as the power cuts for such a long duration.

According to DTE Energy, there are approximately 288,000 customers impacted due to power cuts. On Wednesday, 30% of the power failure have been restored. The Energy company is working hard and assured that the rest of the 90% powers will be restored by end of Tuesday. The company have deployed additional resources from outside the company to ensure, power cuts have been restored at the earliest.

The company also warned the residents to stay at least 25 feet away from the downed wire.
